2026 application: a sneak peek
Applications for AWARD School 2026 open from 5-19 February. In the meantime, here’s a rundown of what this year’s application entails:
Section 1 (you can start it today)
The first section requires you to answer a simple question: Why do you want to do this course?
Keep your response to fewer than 50 words in text format, or do it visually if you wish. Importantly, try to move beyond general statements about creativity being your “passion” or pursuing a creative career as a “dream". Try to show some depth.
Section 2
This part of the application requires you to come up with your best ideas for two creative briefs, much like the Vanish and StrangeLove Premium Mixers brief we tested you over recent week/s. Please note that you can only submit one idea for each brief in the application.
This time, you should feel more confident cracking each brief using feedback from our experts and tips from our school heads. If you missed all of that, please see links below.

When will the creative brief for Section 2 be released?
This year’s application brief will be e-mailed to our subscriber list (sign up below) and made available on this website at 9am on Thursday 5 February when applications officially open. However, those who attend the Virtual Info Night on Tuesday 3 February will receive it in advance/on the night, giving them a two-day head start on their application.
