Indigenous scholarships

The yarns will be hosted by former Indigenous scholarship recipients, enabling applicants to hear first-hand experiences about the AWARD School program and ask any questions they may have. Additionally, applicants have the chance to meet a creative professional from within the industry to better understand advertising and how to harness their inner creativity.

No experience is required. You just need raw ideas and determination to complete the course.
To be eligible for the Indigenous Scholarship, applicants must identify as of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent on the application form. If the applicant is accepted, on merit, they will automatically be considered for an Indigenous scholarship and a scholarship interview will take place prior to final acceptance. Up to six AWARD School Indigenous scholarships will be issued. All applications are blind-judged and must adhere to the full AWARD School T&Cs.

If you’re an aspiring storyteller or a creative thinker and are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, we’re offering scholarships for our 2027 program valued at up to $2,420 to cover the entire AWARD School course. These scholarships are issued each year.
In 2027, AWARD School's Indigenous scholarship program will be entering its nineth year. In the lead-up to the 2027 program, we're offering free one-on-one creative yarns for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants. The yarns will be hosted by former Indigenous scholarship recipients, enabling applicants to hear first-hand experiences about the AWARD School program and ask any questions they may have. Additionally, applicants have the chance to meet a creative professional from within the industry to better understand advertising and how to harness their inner creativity.
